Good morning šāļøš
I woke up this morning thinking of Speaker Mike Johnson and his need for a strong prayer covering and I thought about the America we once knew. Is she gone forever? God knows. I do know we no longer wield moral authority in the world.
This passage came to mind.
Ephesians 6: 10-19 (NIV).
The Armor of God
ā10Ā Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Ā Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devilās schemes. 12Ā For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Ā Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Ā Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15Ā and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16Ā In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Ā Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.ā
Be safe and blessed. Pray for yourselves, your families, leaders, and other nations. #MikeJohnson #prayer #Congress

Sometimes we just need a little reminder.
āWho shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written:
āFor your sake we face death all day long;āØĀ Ā Ā Ā we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.ā
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.ā
Romans 8: 35-39 (NIV).
Isnāt it wonderful to know that there is a God who loves us and has written our names in His āBook of Lifeā?

Iām reading and meditating on Jeremiah 12 today. Jeremiah is known as āThe Weeping Prophet.ā He was tasked with warning people about the coming judgment.
ā. . .Why are the wicked so prosperous?āØWhy are evil people so happy?
You have planted them, and they have taken root and prospered.
Your name is on their lips, but you are far from their hearts.
But as for me, Lord, you know my heart. You see me and test my thoughts.
Drag these people away like sheep to be butchered! Set them aside to be slaughtered!. . .
āThe Lordās Reply to Jeremiah
āIf racing against mere men makes you tired, how will you race against horses?
If you stumble and fall on open ground, what will you do in the thickets near the Jordan?
Even your brothers, members of your own family, have turned against you.āØ
They plot and raise complaints against you.
Do not trust them, no matter how pleasantly they speak.ā
Jeremiah 12: 1-3, 5-6 (NLT).
I ponder the lessons for us today and for nations that ...

Being thankful can be difficult when life gets rough. However, Christ-followers with years of experience will tell you that this simple practice can transform you, your circumstances, or both.
āBe thankful in all circumstances, for this is Godās will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.ā
1 Thessalonians 5:18
