Good morning ☀️😃
How do we keep our peace in a topsy-turvy world? God’s word is always a good place to start and end. It can center and calm us better than any illegal or pharmaceutical drug designed to numb our brains. Even when depression was my old familiar friend, I preferred the pain to the numbness of drugs. Christ delivered me from periodic bouts of deep depression. The scripture below and the Psalms are always in season for healing. Be blessed and joyful. God knows you even when you don’t know him. He has a plan and purpose for every one willing to receive the free gift 🎁 #Christmas #prayer #hope #depression
Greetings 👋
Don’t you just love the WISDOM of PROVERBS? I struggle with verse 2. 🤷🏾♀️ It’s a carry over from low self-esteem days.
“Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.
Let someone else praise you, and not your own mouth; an outsider, and not your own lips.”
Proverbs 27: 1-2 (NIV).
Greetings 👋
Here are the VERY encouraging words I have been meditating on for the past few days.
“That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, ‘No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined
what God has prepared for those who love him.’” 1 Corinthians 2:9 (NLT).
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.”
Hebrews 12: 1-2 (NLT).
Greetings 👋
Everyone has highs and lows. These are times for reflection and not medication or drugs. Conversing with God brings strength and hope for tomorrow. Can you find hope in these timeless promises?
“Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him.
You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours.”
Psalm 128: 1-2 (NIV).
And . . .
Praise be to the Lord, for he has heard my cry for mercy.
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.
My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.
The Lord is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one.
Save your people and bless your inheritance; be their shepherd and carry them forever.” Psalm 28: 6-9 (NIV).
