Please pray for America’s colleges and universities. Did you know that Dartmouth, Princeton, Yale, Harvard, Rutgers, William & Mary, and Vanderbilt were established as Christian universities? These institutions were taken over by secular humanists hostile to religious teaching and practices. Belmont University in Nashville has also fallen. Here’s my meditation for today continuing in 1 John 4.
“. . . He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are of the world, and therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them. We are of God, and whoever knows God listens to us. Whoever is not of God does not listen to us. This is how we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.”

I’m meditating on 1 John 4. We are admonished to test the spirits coming from our leaders and others with whom we interact.
“Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” 1 John 4: 1-4 (NIV).

I’m continuing with my meditation on 1 John 4. Have you ever really reflected on the love of God and what He is trying to perfect in us?
“. . .God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. In this way God’s love is perfected in us, so that we may have boldness on the Day of Judgment, because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. Whoever fears is not perfect in love.”
