Good morning and Happy Monday 🌞
Here’s one of the scriptures that came to mind last night. I pray these verses will comfort someone who needs to know that God cares about his people.
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.
And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.” Isaiah 61: 1-4 (CSB).

Greetings 👋
Yesterday the world lost Dolly Parton. Her family said sadness is ours, not hers — that she “lived in the light and is in the arms of Jesus.”
That line stays with me because Scripture is honest about both sides of the story:
We each have an appointment with death. After that comes judgment. But Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many — and He will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to save those who are eagerly waiting for Him.
“And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.” — Hebrews 9:27–28 (ESV).
Rest in peace, Dolly. Thank you for the songs, the joy, and the light.
