My heart grieves for Jewish people around the world who are persecuted because of their religion and ethnicity. God has promised Abrahamās descendants:
āThe Lord had said to Abram, āGo from your country, your people and your fatherās household to the land I will show you.
āI will make you into a great nation,
Ā and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless you,and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.ā Genesis 12:3 (NIV).
āI ask then: Did God reject his people? By no means! I am an Israelite myself, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin. God did not reject his people, whom he foreknew. . .ā Romans 11: 1-2 (ESV). #antisemitism #Jews #Israel

Jesus shared many words of comfort to his followers. The Judeo-Christian Bible is rich in sources of comfort. We need to remember and meditate on verses that encourage us.
āAs you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.
My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. Nashvillians please be aware that Metro City Council has listed on its agenda a resolution condemning Israel and its treatment of the Palestinian people.
