Uplifting Meditation

Greetings šŸ‘‹

Here’s what I am meditating on today. Will you join me in reflection and self examination?

ā€œBlessed are the undefiled in the way,
Who walk in the law of the Lord!

Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart!

They also do no iniquity; They walk in His ways.

You have commanded us To keep Your precepts diligently.

Oh, that my ways were directed
To keep Your statutes!

Then I would not be ashamed,
When I look into all Your commandments.

I will praise You with uprightness of heart,
When I learn Your righteous judgments.

I will keep Your statutes; Oh, do not forsake me utterly!ā€ Psalm 119: 1-8 (NKJV).

Do any young women you know aspire to become a Proverbs 31 wife?

ā€œA wife of noble character who can find?

She is worth far more than rubies.
Her husband has full confidence in her
and lacks nothing of value.

She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life.ā€

Proverbs 31:10-12 (NIV)

Marriage is a two-way street. I’ve never had a successful one myself, but I’ve known many couples who have. Those who pray together, worship together, and work together toward common goals have a far greater chance of building something that endures.

Young ladies, the Proverbs 31 standard isn’t outdated — it’s countercultural and powerful.

Pray, Pray, Pray!

Here’s a simple prayer that God will hear.

ā€œBe pleased to save me, Lord; come quickly, Lord, to help me.

May all who want to take my life
be put to shame and confusion;
may all who desire my ruin be turned back in disgrace.ā€

Enjoy Paul’s prayer for the Ephesians. It’s one of my favorites.

ā€œFor this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people,
I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.

That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.

And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head ...
