Be Encouraged!

Greetings šŸ‘‹

We have a reason for our hopes and expectations.

ā€œGod is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selahā€ Psalm 46: 1-3.

A Prayer for Our Times

Here’s one of my favorite prayers. I hope it blesses you as it does me.

Here's a word for today!
Here's a word for today!
What time is it?

Here’s what God gave me to share with you.

ā€œThere is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:

a time to be born and a time to die,

a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal,

a time to tear down and a time to build,

a time to weep and a time to laugh,

a time to mourn and a time to dance,

a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,

a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,

a time to search and a time to give up,

a time to keep and a time to throw away,

a time to tear and a time to mend,

a time to be silent and a time to speak,

a time to love and a time to hate,

a time for war and a time for peace.ā€

Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8 (NIV).

Please meditate on these verses and how they might apply to our lives and the life of our nation.

Why worry?

Greetings šŸ‘‹

Here’s a reminder we can all use at times.

ā€œRejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.ā€

Philippians 4: 4-7 (NIV).

Profess Faith and Act Accordingly

What do these verses mean to you? How should they apply to our daily walk with God?

ā€œTherefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.ā€

Hebrews 4:14-16 (NIV).

ā€œAnd they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.ā€

Revelation 12:11 (NKJV).
