God sees and knows what our enemies are plotting behind our backs. Do we have enough faith and humility to cry out to him for help? He has promised that no weapons formed against us will bring us down. Let us raise our voices individually and collectively to the Lord asking for victory!
“O Lord, I have come to you for protection;
don’t let me be disgraced. Save me and rescue me, for you do what is right. Turn your ear to listen to me, and set me free.
Be my rock of safety where I can always hide. Give the order to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.
My God, rescue me from the power of the wicked, from the clutches of cruel oppressors.
O Lord, you alone are my hope. I’ve trusted you, O Lord, from childhood.
Yes, you have been with me from birth;
from my mother’s womb you have cared for me. No wonder I am always praising you!
My life is an example to many, because you have been my strength and protection. That is why I can never stop praising you;
I declare your glory all day long.”
Psalm 71: 1-8 (NIV).
Greetings 🖖
Here’s a sobering message about the consequences of sin. Fortunately for us, the Gospel of Jesus Christ offers a means of escape.
“Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened,
That it cannot save;
Nor His ear heavy,
That it cannot hear.
But your iniquities have separated you from your God;
And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear.
For your hands are defiled with [a]blood,
And your fingers with iniquity;
Your lips have spoken lies,
Your tongue has muttered perversity.
No one calls for justice,
Nor does any plead for truth.
They trust in empty words and speak lies;
They conceive evil and bring forth iniquity.”
Isaiah 59: 1-4 (NKJV).

Greetings 👋
Who are my brothers and sisters? Are these verses imploring us to have compassion and love for the whole of humanity?
What do you think?
“We love because he [Jesus] first loved us. Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.”
1 John 4: 19-21 (NIV).
Greetings 👋
I’m continuing with my meditation on 1 John 4. Have you ever really reflected on the love of God and what He is trying to perfect in us?
“. . .God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. In this way God’s love is perfected in us, so that we may have boldness on the Day of Judgment, because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. Whoever fears is not perfect in love.”
1 John 4: 16-18 (MEV).
