Good morning š
Who are you trusting in? Is it yourself or someone else? God has a word for us.
āThis is what the Lord says: āCursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the Lord.ā
They are like stunted shrubs in the desert,
with no hope for the future. They will live in the barren wilderness, in an uninhabited salty land.
āBut blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green,
Ā and they never stop producing fruit.ā Jeremiah 17: 1-8 (NLT).
No matter how well meaning they are our fellow human beings are guaranteed to disappoint us sooner or later. Itās just part of the human condition. Ponder and have a blessed day and week.

I take much comfort in these verses. What about you? How has God been faithful to you when the enemy came in like a flood?

Did you know that under NYC's new mayor, Zohran Mamdaniāthe city's first Muslim leaderāthe 5x daily Adhan (Muslim call to prayer) is now authorized to echo through the streets of New York? This expands on previous policies, allowing broadcasts every day, from dawn to night.
What started as Friday-only under Adams is now a full daily ritual, voted in by the majority of New Yorkers who backed this administration.
But here's a thought: If public expressions of faith are the new norm in one of America's most diverse cities, why not balance the scales? I challenge Christians and Jewsāespecially in areas where Islamic influence is strongāto organize our own daily public prayer vigils. Let's unite in prayer to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacobāthe same God Christians know as Jesus Christ. Push back against division and reclaim the light in our shared spaces.
