Good morning 🌞
Who are you trusting in? Is it yourself or someone else? God has a word for us.
“This is what the Lord says: ‘Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the Lord.’
They are like stunted shrubs in the desert,
with no hope for the future. They will live in the barren wilderness, in an uninhabited salty land.
“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green,
and they never stop producing fruit.” Jeremiah 17: 1-8 (NLT).
No matter how well meaning they are our fellow human beings are guaranteed to disappoint us sooner or later. It’s just part of the human condition. Ponder and have a blessed day and week.
Good morning 🌞☀️
God encourages us with good news as we read his word. Stay strong with your eyes on the ultimate prize.
“The Lord has rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his sight. To the faithful you show yourself faithful, to the blameless you show yourself blameless,
to the pure you show yourself pure, but to the devious you show yourself shrewd.
You save the humble but bring low those whose eyes are haughty. You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light. With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall.
As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him. For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God?” Psalm 18: 24-31 (NIV).
Good morning 🌞☀️
“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” 1 Peter 5: 7-8 (NIV).
Good morning 🌞
Here’s a scripture message I wish I modeled better. I worry about things that I can’t change. It’s far better to pray and trust God.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4: 6-7.
