Good morning ☀️🌞
I have been meditating on God’s use of dreams to communicate with mankind throughout the ages. If the Judeo-Christian God changes not and is the same throughout history (Malachi 3:6)
we can be certain that he continues to use dreams to warn and encourage those of us who are sensitive to his voice.
“After this I will pour out my Spirit on all humanity; then your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your old men will have dreams, and your young men will see visions.” Joel 2:28 (NIV).
“We both had dreams,” they answered, “but there is no one to interpret them.” Then Joseph said to them, “Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell me your dreams.” Genesis 40:8 (ESV)
“When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child.” Matthew 2:13 (ESV).
My takeaway is that we should pay attention to our dreams and write them down with as much detail as possible. Then pray for understanding if it is not clear. God is alive and he does speak in many ways, especially through his Word.
How many of you need extra peace today?
Jesus is with us now and forever.
He will never leave nor forsake us.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Matthew 11: 28-30 (NIV). #Bible #Peace #Rest #meditation
These verses are more easily posted than practiced. Help me, Lord
“Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.
Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.
Live in harmony with one another.
Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly.
Never be wise in your own sight.
Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all.
If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.
Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”
Romans 12: 14-19 (NIV).
