I praise Jesus, my Lord and savior for the challenges of 2026, which now include more than 72 hours without electrical power. He sees our plight and teaches us through our circumstances. When power is restored, my neighborhood will have been one of the last ones in #Nashville. It’s all good. I’ve gotten plenty of rest and will get batteries today and check on getting a generator for the next storm.

Greetings 👋
Yesterday the world lost Dolly Parton. Her family said sadness is ours, not hers — that she “lived in the light and is in the arms of Jesus.”
That line stays with me because Scripture is honest about both sides of the story:
We each have an appointment with death. After that comes judgment. But Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many — and He will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to save those who are eagerly waiting for Him.
“And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.” — Hebrews 9:27–28 (ESV).
Rest in peace, Dolly. Thank you for the songs, the joy, and the light.
