A Swain follower’s submission of a prayer for the #SAVEACT.

“God, Your Word tells us, “Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; love and faithfulness go before You.” (Psalm 89:14)

God, what is happening in the Senate to block a vote on the SAVE America Act is neither righteous nor is it just.

Our elected officials are charged with the responsibility of carrying out the mandate and the will of those who elect them to office. Those we elect to office and entrust with the responsibility and privilege of representing us work for us, We. The. People.

God, the desire to codify into law the privilege of voting in our elections as being a right reserved only for American citizens is not a partisan issue. By large numbers, the vast majority of Americans do NOT want non-citizens voting in our elections and impacting our election outcomes. Americans overwhelmingly want all voters to show ID to prove they are U.S. citizens and thus eligible to vote.

God, whatever the lawmakers’ motivations for failing to bring the Save America legislation up for a vote, are failing to represent the will and the wishes of their constituents. “Hold them guilty, O Lord. By their own devices let them fall. Capture the wise by their own shrewdness and quickly thwart the advice of the cunning.” (Psalm 5:10)

God may “Malice backfire and spite boomerang” (Proverbs 26:27 - the MSG) on them, especially Senate Majority Leader, John Thune, as they attempt to run out the clock and not do the will of those who elected them. Please “Thwart the plans of (these crafty ones) so that their hands achieve no success. Capture the wise in their craftiness and (may) their (wily) schemes (be) swept away.”

God, please “Give us aid against the enemy, for human help is worthless. With (You) God we will gain the victory. (Only You can) trample down our enemies.”
Psalms 108:12-13

God Your Word tells us, “(You) change times and seasons; (You) depose kings and raise up others. (You) give wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. (You) reveal deep and hidden things; (You) know what lies in darkness, and light dwells with (You).”
Daniel 2:21-22

God, please expose the motivations and hidden things of those refusing to represent the will of the people. Please remove them from Congress. Thank you for replacing them with those who will represent the will and intentions of We The People.
