Have you ever paused to reflect on the extraordinary call and commissioning of the Prophet Jeremiah?
God knew him intimately before he was formed in the womb. Before he took his first breath, the Lord had already set him apart with a purpose.
Hereās what the Bible tells us:
āThe word of the Lord came to me, saying, āBefore I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.ā
āAlas, Sovereign Lord,ā I said, āI do not know how to speak; I am too young.ā
But the Lord said to me, āDo not say, āI am too young.ā You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,ā declares the Lord.ā
Jeremiah 1: 4-8 (NIV).
Jeremiahās assignment was incredibly difficult, and he became known as the āweeping prophet.ā Yet he walked in obedience.
What about you?
God has also called and wired you for something unique. That purpose isnāt random ā itās already in your design.

Are we truly where we ought to be spiritually?
Sometimes God has to gently remind us of His many promises. He once spoke into my spirit that fear and faith cannot coexist. And itās true.
āYou keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.ā
Isaiah 26:3-4 (ESV)
And His Word also declares:
āThere is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fearā¦ā
1 John 4:18 (ESV)
When our minds stay fixed on Him, His perfect love drives out fear and ushers in perfect peace. š

I donāt know about you, but I needed this reminder of Godās promises this morning:
Romans 8:26-28 (NLT)
āAnd the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we donāt know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with Godās own will. And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.ā
